I am moving.
The summer has flown by! I and my family moved my stuff down to Iowa today, and I am scheduled to join it in a little more than a week. I am looking forward to school in Iowa. It is a new context in which to learn about God, and be one of His ambassadors. I would very much appreciate prayer over the next few weeks that God would glorify Himself through my time in Iowa; that I would be, as Piper says, a "white-hot worshiper" of God, and that He would display His worth, and the glory of His grace, through me and through his other kids whom He puts me in contact with. I would also appreciate prayer for the rest of God's people in Iowa City, that God would show off the glory of His grace to and through them, keeping them from error, and equipping them to clearly and accurately preach the whole gospel throughout their area.

ReplyDeleteHa. When your Mom said you all were a few hours from home and then Kirsten said you folks had been in Iowa, I totally didn't make the "Jonathan is moving to Iowa, they must be helping him" connection.
I hope you have a great time in Iowa, learning new things--about dentistry and about God. I will be praying as you requested and also that God will lead you to a church in which you can grow to be more like Him. I heard you will be rooming with some unbelievers and I will be praying about that, too.

ReplyDeleteWell, be good and don't forget to dress warmly, eat your veggies, but stay away from the yellow snow, and don't accept wooden quarters (inflation). Have fun!
